Original unmodified bridge, braces are tight, original tuners, and "Made in USA export stamp. The glue-seams of the 4-piece top's wings are visible thanks to expansion along the joint, but aren't open. The guitar is essentially crack-free, but for a tiny top repair near the fingerboard's end. This Cromwell G-2 is in rather fine condition and plays perfectly thanks to a fairly recent neck reset (done elsewhere), new frets and set-up (by us). It has a comfortable round neck with a 1-3/4" nut width and 24.9” scale, ebony nut and rosewood fingerboard. The Model G-2 is otherwise built similarly to the Kalamazoo KG-14, with a ladder-braced spruce top and mahogany back and sides, sunburst top, firestripe pickguard, single-bound body, and lacquered rosewood bridge. This particular Gibson budget brand has become famous for its unique characteristic flashy Deco fingerboard ornamentation. The Cromwell brand was built by Gibson and distributed by a few mail-order stores from 1935 until 1939.
